Emile Hirsch joins The Motel Life

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

Emile Hirsch is a really great actor who appears and disappears from time to time. Recently he has boarded the upcoming thriller/drama THE MOTEL LIFE, which is being produced by Alan and Gabriel Polsky. The film follows two brothers who are involved in a hit-and-run accident that turns fatal and then flee their motel in Reno to escape the cops.  No director or other cast is attached right now but the Polsky’s want to begin shooting sometime this year. If they can get an actor even half the caliber of Hirsch, THE MOTEL LIFE could be a great film.

Emile Hirsch is also set to star in THE DARKEST HOUR as well as KILLER JOE which were both shot last year. THE DARKEST HOUR is set to hit theaters on August 5, 2011, and KILLER JOE is set to be released sometime this year. With two films opening this year and possibly one next year, maybe this means there are enough good scripts out there for Hirsch to choose from? I sure hope so, because he is one talented guy.
