Kristen Stewart joins Tim Blake Nelson's Anesthesia

Kristen Stewart in On The Road

Post-Twilight life has been kind of strange for Kristen Stewart.  Although technically the much maligned ON THE ROAD hit theaters after THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2, it was completed beforehand and just delayed.  So she really hasn’t had a movie since the Twilight franchise ended and she’s still the butt of jokes for her part in the extra-marital activities of her SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN director Rupert Sanders.  She’s next set to star in the military themed CAMP X-RAY, which should hit theaters in 2014.  She also has parts in SILS MARIA and THE BIG SHOE.

Now you can add a small role in Tim Blake Nelson’s upcoming directorial effort ANESTHESIA, which is about a group of New Yorkers dealing with various life events who are inspired by philosophy professor Walter Zarrow.  Not much else is known about the film, but Gretchen Mol (‘Boardwalk Empire’) is also believed to be starring in the project.  Although we’ll get to see her try and carry her own movie again in CAMP X-RAY, it’s probably better for Kristen Stewart to take on smaller roles like this for the near future.  I’m sure she and Robert Pattinson are both eager to let the Twilight hype die down so they can focus on making movies people want to see.  (Deadline)
