When I see photos and trailers for animated films such as MARS NEEDS MOMS, it makes me thankful that I don’t have children so I won’t have to endure what promises to be an epic failure. Sure, every once in awhile a small animated feature will actually be awesome and I’m so happy I watched it (see CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS). But more often than not, they are just little time sucks that studios make for the mini people in hopes of turning a small profit (see PLANET 51), such is the case with MARS NEEDS MOMS.
Martians needs some authoritative figures to help them run things on their planet so they come down to Earth to steal our moms. Milo (voiced by Seth Green) is on a mission to save his mom (voiced by Joan Cusack) and simultaneously let her know that he really does appreciate her. Even when she makes him eat his broccoli. MARS NEEDS MOMS is set to hit theaters in 3D on March 11, 2011.
