Hayley Atwell, who is usually in the news for her role in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, is getting set to star in a thriller called I, ANNA. She will work with writer/director Barnaby Southcombe, and Atwell will re-team with actress Charlotte Rampling (the two starred together in THE DUCHESS). Hayley Atwell will play Emmy who is the younger sister of Anna who will be played by Charlotte Rampling.The film is being billed as suspense/thriller set in London about a woman whose life gets a little messy after a bad date, as well a policeman who is madly in love with her tracks her down. The film will also star Jodhi May, Bill Milner, Eddie Marsan and Honor Blackman. Shooting should begin shortly in London.
Suspense/thrillers aren’t typically my favorite genre as I’m a little jumpy, but I’m interested to see Atwell in a role outside of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER since that’s the only film I can associate her with right now.
