20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that the film RAMONA AND BEEZUS, starring Selena Gomez, John Corbett, Bridget Moynahan and Ginnifer Goodwin, will be released on Blu-ray in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack on November 9, 2010. This family film is based on the book by Beverly Cleary and follows the adventures of the young school girl Ramona, played by the young up and coming star Joey King.
I personally didn’t read much Beverly Cleary growing up but have heard great things about this particular series. The film didn’t do terribly well at the theaters, only grossing just over $25 million, but I suspect that it will do much better on BD/DVD because it seems like one of those re-watchable family films. Plus it has Selena Gomez, of Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, and I suspect she has a popular following with the pre-tween audience. Special features for the Blu-ray include:
