When I posted the news yesterday that Sacha Baron Cohen and Ben Kingsley were joining the Martin Scorsese film THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET, I mentioned that the most important casting decision Marty will make will be that of the young star. Well, today we learn that the young star tasked with the responsibility of carrying Marty’s next film is little known Asa Butterfield, from the film THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS. But what may be of more interesting news, especially to those of you excited about KICK-ASS, is that the female lead will be played by Chloe Moretz.
Moretz’s Hit-Girl is generating a lot of buzz around the fan boy community and I’ll admit, based off the trailer, she looks like she does a good job with it. Even with Moretz attached, I’m still skeptical about this film. I think I really need to read the book.
