Leonardo DiCaprio looking to star in Todd Field's Creed of Violence

One of the many projects that has been languishing in Hollywood is the Western film THE CREED OF VIOLENCE which was to be directed by Todd Field.  The film will be based off the novel by Boston Teran that is set in Mexico in 1910 during the Mexican Revolution. The story will follow the intervention of America during the war. As mentioned before the project was languishing, but has been revived since Leonardo DiCaprio has taken interest in the movie. Seeing as how DiCaprio is a big star, he can pretty much put any film back on track. We can assume he will be featured in the lead role, but nothing is confirmed just yet.

We still don’t know whether or not Todd Field is still involved with the project (as there is no confirmation from the studio), but there have been rumors that Field is out scouting locations in Mexico, or at least taking photographs, which may or may not be linked to THE CREED OF VIOLENCE. More news about this is sure to come up in the next few months or so, we’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
