Taking the lead from her TWILIGHT co-star Anna Kendrick, Ashley Greene has been choosing her projects wisely. It’s a good move for both girls who could easily fall between the cracks after such a huge franchise. They could easily be typecast in a variety of mediocre projects.
The next film Greene is taking on is a modern, gender bending take on Charles Dickens classic novel, “Oliver Twist”. This version called OLIVIA TWISTED will place the actress in the role of 19-year-old Olivia who with a group of highly trained street urchins accept a kidnapping job, and find themselves in the middle of a turf war between opposing criminal factions. Writer Michael Roberts is taking on the script which is said to contain elements of the Dickens world combined with a gothic backdrop.
Unlike Kendrick, Greene has yet to prove her acting chops. SKATELAND got good reviews and so did her performance but not on the same scale as her TWILIGHT co-star. Maybe Olivia Twisted will get her on the way.
