Kevin Costner‘s career is rising from the ashes like a phoenix as this past year his mini-series HATFIELDS & MCCOYS (click the link to read the review) received critical acclaim, and he’ll be starring in one of the big blockbusters of 2013, MAN OF STEEL. So it’s with happiness that this writer can report that Kevin Costner has been offered a role in the upcoming JACK RYAN reboot from director Kenneth Branagh. In the reboot Kevin Costner would play a mentor to a young Jack Ryan (Chris Pine). Of course, nothing has been signed on the dotted line so this gig could fall through, but it would be nice to see Kevin Costner back on the big screen more consistently.
As mentioned before, Kevin Costner will be seen in next summer’s Zack Snyder film MAN OF STEEL where he’ll play Jonathan Kent, the father of Clark Kent/Superman (Henry Cavill) which hits theaters on June 14th, 2013. (Deadline)
