Emily Browning joins Dominic Cooper in Summer in February

Emily Browning

So what do you do in 2012 after you’ve starred in one of the worst movies in 2011?  If you’re Emily Browning, you take a role in the independent British film SUMMER IN FEBRUARY.  There were no redeeming qualities about SUCKER PUNCH, but it at least peaked my interest in Emily Browning, who I suspect is much more talented than the film that most people will associate with her.  SUMMER IN FEBRUARY is described as a story of “love, liberty and scandal amongst the Edwardian artists’ colony in Cornwall.”  No, I’m not sure what that means either, but it sounds about as far away from SUCKER PUNCH as you can get.

She joins a cast that includes the very underrated Dominic Cooper and Dan Stevens.  Browning is actually replacing the previously announced Ophelia Lovibond.  Christopher Menaul is directing the film that starts shooting in mid February.
