Orlando Bloom, Michael Pena and Taraji P. Henson to star in The Good Doctor

I’m having flashbacks to 2002 when Orlando Bloom was last relevant in Hollywood.  What happened to him?  He had a huge fan base, an insanely successful franchise and everyone loved him.  He did a few average movies and then seemingly fell off the face of the earth.  Well, Bloom fans can rejoice because he’s back.  The actor just signed on to star in the indie drama THE GOOD DOCTOR.  In it, Bloom will play a young doctor that gets obsessed with a young patient and tampers with her medicine to keep her admitted longer.  Michael Pena, Taraji P. Henson, Courtney Ford, Rob Morrow and J.K. Simmons are also attached to star.

The story is described as “Hitchcockian”, so I’m assuming there’s a twist or something mysterious going on behind the scenes.  The premise sounds interesting enough, but I’m not sure audiences will turn out in droves to see Bloom in action anymore.
