After much anticipation we are finally getting a first look at Terrence Malick’s upcoming drama starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn called TREE OF LIFE. The story follows a young boy who struggles between being a strong man like his father (Brad Pitt) suggests, or going “the way of nature and the way of grace” like his mother suggests. When he is an adult (Sean Penn) his is still struggling with these two choices as he reaches a pivotal point in his life. The trailer for the film will be shown this weekend before the also anticipated film BLACK SWAN, starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis and directed by Darren Aronofsky. TREE OF LIFE will come out in theaters May 27, 2011.
How could a film starring both Brad Pitt and Sean Penn be bad? It can’t, so obviously this is one of those must see films of next year and will surely be popular come Oscar time as well.
