Does that title seem odd to you? I’ve read it over a dozen times now and the idea of Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher starring in a romantic comedy together baffles me. I know there are a lot of people in the movie community that love to bash Ashton Kutcher, but I’m actually not one of them. I think he’s fine for what he is, but he’s not an A-list star that can carry his own film and he can deviate too far from his Kelso character on ‘That 70’s Show’. But Natalie Portman is one of the most talented actresses working today and it seems strange she would be starring in a movie with Kutcher. Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher makes sense. Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher does not.
The film doesn’t have a title yet and plot details are sketchy, but the focus of the film is of the “friends with benefits” variety. No doubt Kutcher and Portman will play friends that sleep together and then deal with the awkwardness, only to find true love in the closing minutes.
