Matt Lucas will take a break from playing doubles to star alongside Kristen Wiig in the upcoming comedy BRIDESMAIDS. Lucas, as you remember, played the twins Tweedledee and Tweedledum in ALICE IN WONDERLAND. The cast of BRIDESMAIDS is almost complete with Ellie Kemper, Jill Clayburgh, Chris O’Dowd, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Rose Byrne and Maya Rudolph joining Wiig in the Judd Apatow produced comedy.
BRIDESMAIDS is about a woman (Wiig) that does everything she can to keep peace between the various bridesmaids, but she finds it difficult given how snobby and spoiled they all are. This is an idea that could have some very funny moments, but it could also get annoying very quickly.
