Bradley Cooper circling the lead role in The Crow reboot

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

Apparently Bradley Cooper (THE HANGOVER and THE A-TEAM) is in early negotiations to play Eric Draven in THE CROW reboot, a role which was previously played by the late Brandon Lee. The film follows a musician, Draven, and his fiancee who are murdered by some thugs and afterward he comes back from the dead to exact revenge. The reboot is being directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 WEEKS LATER) who only boarded the project last week and has already struck up a rapport with Cooper who is interested in the role. Relativity Media seems to be moving pretty quick on this thing and they want to start shooting this coming fall.

I’m a Bradley Cooper fan and I have been since his days on ‘Alias’, but I don’t see him pulling off this role. Maybe I lack some imagination, but I just can’t picture it. In fact, I can’t see anyone playing Eric Draven except Brandon Lee because he just did such a good job. What do you think dear readers? Is Bradley Cooper a good match for the goth musician who is dead set on revenge?
