Late last week we learned that ‘The Tudors’ star Henry Cavill was set to topline the thriller THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY. I’m sure Cavill’s fans were happy to hear that, but more fans will be pleased to know that Bruce Willis will also be starring in the film. Cavill will be playing a cocky Wall Street banker that reluctantly goes on a vacation to Spain with his family, only to see them get kidnapped, forcing him to uncover a government conspiracy and discover secrets about his father. Willis will be playing his father while Sigourney Weaver is in talks to play the villain. Mabrouk El Mekchri is directing.
At first, I thought this was going to be more of an action movie, but for some reason I’m getting the feeling it’s going to be more of a drama/thriller. It sounds a little more like a mystery that Cavill’s character is going to have to solve, which is fine, but not what I first thought. Willis is always good and I’m interested to see Weaver as a villain.
