Universal Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced that the comedy HIT AND RUN, directed by Dax Shepard and David Palmer and starring Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Tom Arnold, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Rosenbaum and Bradley Cooper, will be available in a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack on January 8th, 2013.
HIT AND RUN follows a nice guy named Yul Perrkins a.k.a. Charles Bronson (Dax Shepard) who is in the witness protection program. When he gets the job opportunity of a lifetime in Los Angeles, he drives across the country with his girlfriend (Kristen Bell) with consequences that include being chased by a federal agent (Tom Arnold) and meeting up with Charlie’s ex-buddy (Bradley Cooper) who is a crazy criminal Yul helped put behind bars.
HIT AND RUN had a limited run at theaters and only brought in just under $14 million which isn’t so bad considering the budget was $2 million. Reviews were mixed, but if you are looking for a indie comedy this may be worth checking out.
