The latest movie about the Beat generation, ON THE ROAD (click the link to read our review) didn’t fare too well with audiences or critics and it could be argued that that film had just as impressive of a cast as the upcoming KILL YOUR DARLINGS. But Ginsberg, Kerouac and Burroughs are fascinating subjects for Hollywood, so as long as movies are getting made, we can expect to see the Beat generation on the big screen. KILL YOUR DARLINGS does have a great cast and it will be great to see Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston in something where we can see the left side of his face. The trailer below cuts off abruptly and I’m not sure if the filmmakers were trying to make a statement or if we only have half of a trailer. But either way, check it out and see if it strikes your fancy. Directed by John Krokidas, KILL YOUR DARLING stars: Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, Michael C. Hall, Elizabeth Olsen, Jack Huston, Ben Foster, Jennifer Jason Leigh, David Cross, Kyra Sedgwick and David Rasche. The film hits theaters everywhere on October 18th.
