Tribute casting for THE HUNGER GAMES continues as Districts 5 and 6 get their guys and gals. For District 5 we have Tribute Boy (he really doesn’t get a name in the book, it’s sad) who will be played by Chris Mark, and Foxface will be played by Jacqueline Emerson. Foxface has a somewhat significant role, but not big enough to give her a real name- it’s rough in Panem. Tributes for District 6 will be played by Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen. THE HUNGER GAMES is set to start shooting sometime this summer with a release on March 23, 2012. It will star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks.
There has been much discussion on FB between my THG buddy Rena and I regarding this film and here are the conclusions we’ve come to. First, Woody Harrelson would probably make a better Haymitch Abernathy than Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane but at least he’s in the film which is sweet. Second, neither of us can figure out where in the heck Lenny Kravitz will fit into this universe and I’d love to hear some other reader thoughts. Finally, this series is really good and worth picking up- so be a joiner, get the books and start discussing with us!
