After achieving moderate success with their 2009 comedy COUPLES RETREAT, funnymen Jason Bateman and Vince Vaugh have decided to re-team for another film. This time, the duo will star as best friends who grow up and have children of their own. But when one of their daughters gets impregnated by the other friend’s son, their lives and friendship is put to the test. Vaughn will play the father of the daughter while Bateman will play the father of the son. The film will mark the directorial debut of Jeremy Garelick, who wrote the Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston dramedy THE BREAK-UP.
I can only assume that Vaughn will take on the role of the crazy, over-the-top father while Bateman will probably play the quietly tormented and frustrated guy. It’d be nice if they switched things up and gave the other a chance to do something slightly different.
