We may finally get a chance to see sisters Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning in a film together- as sisters! The two are in talks to join the cast of THE SHAGGS which is a film based on the family girl-group in the sixties. The Shaggs were a group of four sisters who didn’t have a single hit, but were formed because their father’s palm reading suggested they would be world-wide super stars. They had one album called “Philosophy of the World” which flopped and they disbanded the group after their fathers death. The Fanning’s aren’t completely confirmed and there’s no word on when production would start, it will be directed by Katherine Dieckmann.
Um, who wouldn’t love to see a movie with the Fanning girls in it? This probably isn’t the project I would have picked, but I’ll take it. Maybe some of Dakota’s talent will transfer over to her sister, Elle’s almost there but just needs a little bit more on screen charisma.
