Vin Diesel has just wrapped up production for his sixth installment in the FAST AND FURIOUS franchise, called THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6, and it has taken him no time at all to sign on for another role. Universal Pictures has hired a screenwriting team (Neal Purvis and Robert Wade) to pen a story about the “tough-talking, smooth scalped cop” named KOJACK. Those fans of 70s television may remember that Kojack had a series that ran from 1973-78, which followed a detective with an attitude that battled crime in his city. No word on when KOJACK will start production, but keep an eye out for news in the next couple of months.
As mentioned before, Vin Diesel can be seen next in THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6 which hits theaters on May 24th, 2013 and RIDDICK which will also hit theaters sometime next year. Vin Diesel is also going to be in THE MACHINE and XXX: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE which are in the early phases of production. (Deadline)
