When I read this news, I was shocked to learn that ESPN analyst Rachel Nichols was now getting into movies, and in a CONAN film of all places. Sadly, I was disappointed when I found out that my favorite sideline reporter was not actually going to be starring in the film, but rather this Rachel Nichols is the one from G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA and STAR TREK. She will star alongside Jason Momoa, Mickey Rourke, Bob Sapp and Leo Howard in the Conan film directed by Marcus Nispel.
Nichols will play a bodyguard to the queen that must team up with Conan to defeat an evil, ambitious king played by Mickey Rourke. I would say that given her previous credits, this film seems about right for Nichols. And I guess I’ll have to wait until football starts in August to get more of the other Rachel Nichols.
