As you may remember, Ice Cube and David O. Russell teamed up back in 1999 for the war film THREE KINGS. Now, ten years later they are in talks to get back together for a drama described as an, “R-rated raw drama that’s thematically a throwback to those 70s revenge films like the Harry Callahan movies that starred Clint Eastwood.” Nothing is definite right now, but the two are eager to work together on some kind of project that features Ice Cube in the lead. The script will be co-written by David O. Russell and will co-produce along with Ice Cube’s company Cube Vision. No other details have been announced at this time.
Look for David O. Russell’s next film FIGHTER, where he teams up with another THREE KINGS alum in Mark Wahlberg. And if you are looking for some classic Ice Cube, look no further than the 1997 gem ANACONDA, where he stars alongside Jennifer Lopez.
