Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that the 2009 film MIDDLE MEN, starring Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi and James Caan, will be released on Blu-ray February 15, 2011. The film follows the true story of the rise of online pornography in the 1990’s and how the main character, Jack Harris (Wilson) struggles with the conmen, pornstars, drugs and mobsters that come with the success. The film did horrible at the box office, bringing in less than $750 and the reviews were pretty scathing as well.
To me, the only interesting thing about this movie is that it also stars Martin Kove, which you may know as the Cobra Kai leader John Kreese. I’m sure Mr. Kove’s role in MIDDLE MEN wasn’t huge, but he’s such a significant part of cinema history it was worth mentioning. It’s too bad he didn’t get a cameo in the 2010 remake of THE KARATE KID, that would have been awesome. Special features for MIDDLE MEN include:
