Warner Home Video has announced that the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim stop-motion comedy ROBOT CHICKEN: STAR WARS III, with the voice talents of Seth Green, Zac Efron, Rachel Leigh-Cook, Donald Faison and Breckin Meyer, will be released on Blu-ray July 12, 2011. This film features characters and plot from the STAR WARS universe, but all done in stop-motion and with a satirical twist from creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich.
I’m not really familiar with any of the Adult Swim programs, but I have heard that ROBOT CHICKEN is one of the best programs, and that their STAR WARS spoofs outshine the ones from FAMILY GUY (which I also don’t watch and don’t find funny at all). I can’t say that I’m surprised at how good ROBOT CHICKEN is because Seth Green is behind it, and he’s a pretty funny guy and you all know my loyalties lie with any alumni from the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER universe so I may have to check these out now.
