OLDBOY has revealed a slick new banner at Comic-Con that shows a lonely image of a girl in the rain. It looks pretty good and I’m curious to see what Spike Lee can do with the material. While the trailer for OLDBOY (click the link to check out the red band trailer) looks pretty creepy using a fantastic cast, I can’t help but wish people would just watch the original foreign film directed by the masterful Chan-wook Park who recently directed my favorite film so far this year, STOKER. OLDBOY stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli, Lance Reddick, Rami Malek, Max Casella and Hannah Ware. The Spike Lee directed film hits theaters on October 25th, 2013. (FilmDistrict)
The official OLDBOY synopsis: A provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
