After offering up his services to the Oscars, it looks like the Golden Globes decided to give Ricky Gervais another chance. But wait, I thought he was banned?
I really don’t get what the big deal was with his routine. The celebrities that took offense to his jokes lacked a serious sense of humor. It goes to show you how full of themselves celebrities can be. If they weren’t in films or television, they would be every day nobodies that got the same kind of respect that any other human gets on a day to day basis. It’s actually a good thing that Gervais woke some of them up. It not only showed fans how self-absorbed that celebrities could be but it also gave them a reality check that no one is special.
It seems that someone the people in the industry are not pleased with the return of Gervais but this will create huge numbers for NBC on January 15th. Viewers will tune in to see what Gervais will say this time and see if his bad boy antics have toned down. I say let him do what he wants. Welcome back, Ricky!
