Josh Hutcherson to star in directorial debut of Benicio Del Toro

Josh Hutcherson and Benicio Del Toro are teaming up to work on a short film that will be one part of a seven segment film. The movie will be called 7 DAYS IN HAVANA and each day will be broken down and shot by a different director but with similar actors and characters throughout the film. Del Toro and Hutcherson will be working on MONDAY and it will be a documentary type vibe with Hutcherson exploring the island for the first time. Del Toro is already in Havana getting set and I’m sure the other directors (Laurent Cantet, Gaspar Noe, Elia Suleiman, Pablo Trapero, Julio Medem and Juan Carlos Tabio) will be close behind. No word on when this will be ready for release.

I know this sort of thing has been done before and the film that comes to mind is PARIS, JE T’AIME, which I have not seen but heard was pretty good. I like Benicio Del Toro as an actor so I’m interested to see how well he fares as a director.
