Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that the comedy/drama/biopic CASINO JACK, starring Kevin Spacey, Kelly Preston, Barry Pepper and Rachelle Lefevre, will be released on Blu-ray April 5, 2011. The film follows the rise and fall of super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff and how his corrupted schemes to swindle various corporations and groups lead to various issues including murder. CASINO JACK had a limited theatrical release in December.
I was equally intrigued and horrified by this movie. It’s amazing how many horrible things Abramoff did and how he really didn’t see how wrong he was. This makes you really question the concept of political lobbyists and wonder how often the system is corrupted but never is revealed to the public. I could totally see my high school Civics teacher making us watch this in school, it’s very educational. Special features for CASINO JACK include:
