Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe to star in The Woman In Black

While the world watches to see if the Twilight stars can do anything with their careers post-Twilight, I’m more interested to see what Daniel Radlciffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson can do post-Harry Potter.  This is mainly because I think Radcliffe and Watson have more talent than anyone in Twilight, but have a more daunting task of shedding the typecasting than their Twilight counterparts.  Throughout the Harry Potter years, none of them have done anything to note, but it looks like that may be changing as Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, is set to star in the thriller THE WOMAN IN BLACK.

In the film, Radcliffe will play a young lawyer assigned to sort out the affairs of a deceased client.  When he gets to the client’s house, he realizes the entire town is being held captive by the ghost of a wronged woman looking for revenge.  Going back to the supernatural elements probably isn’t the best way to make audiences forget Potter, but this seems to be a step in the right direction.  The script was written by Jane Goldman and based off the book by Susan Hill.  James Watkins will direct.
