Liam Neeson might Tell No One

Various Hollywood directors have been circling a remake of Guillaume Canet’s TELL NO ONE for a while now. Ben Affleck was going to direct, then Gavin O’Connor and then it just fell silent. Well, now the film doesn’t have a director, but it might have a star as Liam Neeson is eyeing the lead role. If he does officially sign on, then I’m sure a director would join pretty soon after. I watched TELL NO ONE a few years ago and to be honest, I wasn’t that impressed. It’s a pretty simple story, but with a script by Chris Terrio and with Liam Neeson starring, I’m guessing it will be jazzed up a bit. It will be interesting to see how closely they follow the original novel by Harlan Coben.

The official synopsis of the original TELL NO ONE: Tell No One tells the story of pediatrician Alexandre Beck who still grieves the murder of his beloved wife, Margot, eight years earlier. When two bodies are uncovered near where Margot’s body was found, the police reopen the case and Alex becomes a suspect again. The mystery deepens when Alex receives an anonymous e-mail with a link to a video clip that seems to suggest Margot is somehow still alive and a message to Tell No One. (Deadline)
