Julie Delpy seems to be popular this week. It looks like the actress is attached to direct another film. This one is a biopic on The Clash’s frontman Joe Strummer.
Being a musician herself, it’s no surprise that Delpy would want to take on something like this. The project will be called, THE RIGHT PROFILE. The title comes from The Clash’s classic 1979 album, “London Calling”. A brit punk icon, Strummer died on a heart defect in 2002 right before the band was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The film is said to cover the frontman’s life and disappearance from the spotlight in 1982.
I really haven’t seen anything Delpy has directed. I’ve tried several times to check out 2 DAYS IN PARIS but it just never seems to hold my attention. Delpy recently wrapped 2 DAYS IN NEW YORK with Chris Rock playing her love interest.
