Seth Rogen is a voice whore. The guy has done more animated movies than any actor I can think of, but it’s hard to complain about it. Taking MONSTERS VS. ALIENS for example, he really provided the few highlights in the film with his voicing of Bob. He has that funny, booming voice that resonates well in animated characters. For his next character, he’ll be voicing a ghost that gets sent back to Ghost University to improve his haunting skills.
This sounds a little MONSTERS INC.-ish to me, so hopefully they’ll be able to make it original enough to keep people interested. I do like the idea of Rogen voicing a character that’s trying to fit in, but can’t seem to make it happen. And of course there’s a lot they can do with a “ghost university” that should provide some creative laughs. The film will be directed by IGOR’s Tony Leondis for a 2012 release.
