The UNDERWORLD franchise is actually quite enjoyable. It’s one of my guilty pleasures. I wasn’t too happy that Rhona Mitra was in the last installment but Kate Beckinsale wasn’t necessary for a prequel.
UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING has the actress returning to her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species. I’m fairly certain that something bad happens to Scott Speedman right at the beginning.
A new poster for the film show Beckinsale back as Selene. I think that most people really only care about seeing the actress anyway. Well, most guys only care about seeing her in that outfit.
