The WWII tank film FURY is starting to pick up a little traction. With Sony producing, David Ayer writing and directing, and Brad Pitt set to star, FURY just needs to fill the rest of the cast. Today we get word that TRANSFORMERS star Shia LaBeouf is in talks to play one of the five-man American crew aboard a tank behind enemy lines in 1945 Nazi Germany. The story sounds very intriguing, similar to the fantastic foreign film LEBANON (click the link to read the review) about four men in a tank across enemy lines the 1982 First Lebanon War.
David Ayer most recently helmed the compelling END OF WATCH and I’m curious what he will do here. With Brad Pitt as commander of the Sherman tank and Shia LaBeouf soon to be on board, there are still three remaining seats. Who will they be? Currently, FURY is set to release in theaters Nov. 14, 2014. (Variety)
