The first photo of Peter Sarsgaard as the evil Dr. Hector Hammond on the set of GREEN LANTERN has been posted. As you can see, Sarsgaard is looking pretty good with the full on makeup and prosthetics. The costume needs a little work still.
Hammond is the pathologist son of a senator who is seen as a disappointment in his father’s eyes. He becomes infused with psychic powers when he discovers a meteor. Dr. Hammond will be the nemesis to Green Lantern played by Ryan Reynolds. The Warner Bros. comic book adaptation will be directed by Martin Campbell and is scheduled for release June 17, 2011.
