The Social Network picks up another award from the National Society of Film Critics

At this point, there is virtually zero drama for the Academy Awards.  It has been a while since a film has cleaned up this many awards across this many critics societies, so I think we can all agree that THE SOCIAL NETWORK will win the Academy Award for Best Picture.  Most recently, it picked up all the major awards from the National Society of Film Critics.  Aside from winning Best Picture, David Fincher won best director, Jesse Eisenberg won best actor and Aaron Sorkin won best screenplay.  Geoffrey Rush and Olivia Williams won the supporting acting categories for THE KING’S SPEECH and THE GHOST WRITER.

Of course, I don’t agree with these picks and I find them to be overly pedestrian, but I’ll keep my feelings of the NSFC to myself.  I can’t say too much because my own critics society (the FFCC) voted THE SOCIAL NETWORK best picture as well.  But at least we saw the other movies and spread the love around.
