Updated: Thora Birch, Daryl Hannah and Tom Sizemore team up for Chuck Palahniuk's Snuff

Although Chuck Palahniuk is an awesome writer, sometimes his works don’t transfer well into film (such as CHOKE), unless they have an awesome director like David Fincher (FIGHT CLUB). The latest Palahniuk novel to get an adaptation is SNUFF, which will be directed by Fabien Martorell (who has only done a documentary called TROMATIZED: MEET LLOYD KAUFMAN) which may not bode too well for the film right now. The story follows an aged porn star (Daryl Hannah) who upon retirement decides that she needs to go out with a bang and sleep with 600 guys in one day (ew). The story is told from the point of view of three guys who are in line to help set that lovely record and Tom Sizemore will play one of these characters. Thora Birch will be a supporting role as the talent agent/wrangler. No word on when production will begin.
I have zero hopes for this film. First because it’s just a sick concept which is par to the course for Palahniuk but still tough to get around sometimes and second, Daryl Hannah, really? Yeah, no hopes for this film.
Update: Turns out Daryl Hannah is not attached to this project and has never even heard of it. Apparently, Chuck Palahniuk has been misinformed.
