Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reteam in the first Sisters trailer

I think everyone likes it when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler get together, so it’s maybe a little surprising they haven’t done more movies together.  The last time they shared the silver screen was almost seven years ago, in BABY MAMA, which didn’t do very well at the box office.  But a lot has happened since then and both of them have much brighter stars, so their next effort, SISTERS, should do much better.  The first trailer gives us exactly what their fans want, which is plenty of witty banter back and forth and the two of them acting kind of crazy.  There were times in this trailer where I felt like they just pointed the camera at them and told them to come up with something.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing.  Check out the trailer below and see for yourself.

SISTERS tells the story of two opposite sisters that reunite after years apart, only to find out their parents are selling their childhood home.  So they decide to throw the ultimate party to send their home out in style.  SISTERS stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, John Leguizamo, Kate McKinnon, James Brolin, Ja Rule and John Cena.  The Jason Moore directed film hits theaters on December 18th.
