Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais star in new images and the first teaser for The Muppets Most Wanted

Even though Jason Segel and Amy Adams won’t be returning for The Muppets sequel, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the gang are all here and when it comes down to it, that’s really all you need. The first teaser has arrived and it should whet your appetite for more Muppets early next year. THE MUPPETS was fantastic, so this sequel has a lot to live up to, but I’m liking what I’m seeing so far. THE MUPPETS MOST WANTED stars Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, Tom Hiddleston, Christoph Waltz, Debby Ryan, Danny Trego, Ray Liotta, Frank Langella, Til Schweiger, and appearances by Usher Raymond, Sean Combs and Celine Dion. We can also assume there are going to be plenty of cameos from a wide variety of stars. James Bobin will be directing again, from a script by Nicholas Stoller. THE MUPPETS MOST WANTED hits theaters on March 21st, 2014.
The official MUPPETS MOST WANTED synopsis: Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
