Tom Hanks and Halle Berry are just a few of the characters on the new Cloud Atlas banners

One of the more interesting films coming out this fall will be The Wachowski film CLOUD ATLAS, which stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Sturgess and many other actors who play multiple characters. The plot sounds pretty complicated, but The Wachowski’s are pretty good at making the complicated easy for the audience to understand so I have somewhat high hopes. Plus it has Tom Hanks, so really how bad could it be?

Here’s the official synopsis for CLOUD ATLAS: The powerful, inspiring epic CLOUD ATLAS explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.

Directed by Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski, CLOUD ATLAS stars: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw and James D’Arcy. It’s set to open in theaters on October 26th, 2012. (Playlist)
