Tom Hanks and Halle Berry in the new 6-minute Cloud Atlas trailer

Tom Hanks in Cloud Atlas

Just yesterday we got a chance to see a couple new photos from The Wachowski’s upcoming sci-fi film CLOUD ATLAS, and today not only do we get a new trailer (with a lot of Tom Hanks), we get an almost 6-minute trailer for the upcoming film. I had my reservations about the film only because it sounded a little off and the synopsis was so vague, but after watching this trailer I’m definitely more intrigued. CLOUD ATLAS is an extremely interesting concept, but it has more than enough opportunities to get too jumbled up. Unless it’s like a three-hour film (it’s actually just 164 minutes), then I guess you would easily be able to get all these story-lines in place.

The synopsis for CLOUD ATLAS is: The powerful, inspiring epic CLOUD ATLAS explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution. CLOUD ATLAS has a cast that includes: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw and James D’Arcy. It’s set to open in theaters on October 26th, 2012, check out the trailer below.
