Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron will start shooting Mad Max: Fury Road in 2012

I think it’s safe to say we all knew that MAD MAX, the franchise that made Mel Gibson famous, was one of those things that was just never fully going to die off. In fact, there are two more films in the works called MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and MAD MAX: FURIOSA which are in tentative plans to be shot back-to-back in January 2012. The stars have already been chosen, Tom Hardy will take over the iconic role of Mad Max and Charlize Theron will play opposite him as the leading lady. Really the only problem is that the shooting keeps getting pushed back due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, like rains and flooding that has trashed the desert locations in Australia. But director George Miller isn’t losing heart just yet, he stated, ” We’ve built the vehicles. We’ve designed the movie. The principal cast is locked in. The film is funded. It’s all ready to go. We just wait.” So fans, you must wait patiently too, just know that the films are definitely going to be coming your way.
