Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace might team up for Animal Rescue
Who would have thought that Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace were BFF’s? It turns out the two have been close since appearing on the cover of Blag magazine and then doing press for the magazine. When actors in Hollywood become friends, it’s only a matter of time before they work together and so now it looks like Noomi Rapace is going to take the female lead in the film ANIMAL RESCUE, which Tom Hardy was recently attached to. Neither star has signed anything official yet, but it looks like it’s only a matter of time.
ANIMAL RESCUE is based on the short story by SHUTTER ISLAND and GONE BABY GONE screenwriter Dennis Lehane. The film will follow the story of a Boston bartender that rescues and adopts a puppy he finds in a dumpster and then has to deal with the dog’s formerly abusive owner. At the same time, the bartender is in the middle of a conspiracy in his mob controlled bar. The film will be directed by BULLHEAD helber Michael Roskam. If Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace do sign on, I expect this one to get started quickly (Deadline)
