Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon in new images from This Means War

I don’t think many people were impressed with the first trailer for McG’s THIS MEANS WAR. It has a very familiar vibe to it and although I like all three of the main stars, something about the film just doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe it’s the mindless plot about two CIA agents that almost destroy NYC because they’re fighting over a girl, or maybe it’s the lack of originality shown in any of the promotional materials so far. But I think what gets me most is that all three actors have a very impressive body of work and I expect more from them than this. (watch the THIS MEANS WAR trailer)

The film stars Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon, Angela Bassett, Abigail Spencer, David Koechner and Til Schweiger. THIS MEANS WAR hits theaters next year, just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend on February 17th.
