Tom Hardy set to join Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan's third Batman film

I consider myself fully hitched to the Tom Hardy bandwagon. I was very impressed with his performance in INCEPTION, enjoyed him as Handsome Bob in ROCK ‘N ROLLA and still need to see him in BRONSON. But the guy is going to be a huge star and for proof, look no further than the news that Tom Hardy is joining the third BATMAN film. This will see him reteam with director Christopher Nolan and although we have no idea right now who he’ll be playing, my guess (and everyone else’s) is that he’ll be playing a villain. We only know that he’s a “lead” in the film and I’m guessing the good guys are already set. And no, I can’t imagine him playing Robin.

Hardy joins the cast that already includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Shooting is supposed to get underway early next year, so expect more casting announcements, along with a title, in the near future.
