Tomb Raider reboot in works, minus Angelina Jolie

It probably won’t surprise you to hear that yet another reboot is on its way, and this time is for the popular video game Tomb Raider. For those of us who care to remember, you may recall a younger Angelina Jolie taking on the role of Lara Croft in film back in 2001. Jolie gave Croft a life and did so well at the box office it spawned a sequel that wasn’t as great but did pretty well for the studios as well. In fact, both films grossed around $432 million world-wide. However, Jolie’s Lara Croft is a thing of the past and GK Films is moving forward with a reboot for the “young and dynamic” Croft, giving her new and exciting adventures.
The film is set for a release sometime in 2013 so in the next six months or so we should learn who will take on one of the most iconic video game roles then. The new rebooted films will be produced by Graham King and Tim Headington.
