True Blood's Joe Manganiello may join Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington in Breacher
Joe Manganiello, who has really hit it big by playing the werewolf Alcide Herveaux on HBO’s ‘True Blood‘, may join Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington in the cop thriller BREACHER. The ‘True Blood’ alum is destined to be a silver screen star as he was not only one of the final contenders to portray Clark Kent/Superman in MAN OF STEEL, but showed off his six-pack and acting chops in this summer’s MAGIC MIKE. Once ‘True Blood’ runs its course there’s little doubt Joe Manganiello will become a household name, though it will be a name that will probably never be spelled correctly.
BREACHER follows a DEA task force that robs a drug cartel safe house and ends up being hunted and taken out one at a time. Joe Manganiello would play Grinder, who doesn’t like the way things are going and decides to contact the cops and let them know what’s going down.
BREACHER will be directed by David Ayer and stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Terence Howard and Dawn Olivieri. Shooting is set to start in October with a 2013 release date. (THR)
