Twilight: Eclipse director David Slade to reboot Daredevil
Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant
The rebooting and remaking of films from our past (both good and bad) continues as today we learn that director David Slade (TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, HARD CANDY and 30 DAYS OF NIGHT) will be taking on the DAREDEVIL character for Marvel and 20th Century Fox. There is no set deal, but Slade appears to be leading the pack and will most likely get the job. This is all in the works because Fox needs to have a DAREDEVIL film in the works so that Marvel rights will not fall back to Disney Studios (who owns Marvel Studios), not sure this is the best reason to reboot a franchise, but DAREDEVIL didn’t do so great back in 2003 so maybe he needs another shot. No word on when production will actually start, but you can expect to hear some rumblings within the next few months.
Should we speculate on who should play Daredevil/Matt Murdock? I don’t think Alex Pettyfer even has a shot so let’s just keep him out of the mix all together.
